Why eat Srikhand?

With the new year comes spring and with it comes ‘Kapha’. If you observe carefully, you will notice that during these days Kapha problems start. Symptoms like cold, cough, sore throat, heaviness of head, increase in asthma, increase in skin diseases appear. This is the time of phlegm release, we just need to help the phlegm to release and drain properly. The more aggravation accumulates in the phlegm, the tighter the phlegm sticks and does not come off easily. At such times Jeshtamhad, Sitopaladi and Kantakari help, but fresh Shrikhand with it is like nectar prayer at such times.

Shrikhand is greasy, delicious, fresh greasy and sweet Shrikhand when consumed in quantity reduces heat in the body, reduces roughness/dryness, loosens, ripens and easily expels sticky phlegm.
