Despite branding himself an "arch critic" of Prince Harry, TalkTV presenter Mark Dolan admitted he feels sympathy for the Duke of Sussex. Joined by the Mail On Sunday's Charlotte Griffiths, Mark said he believes that Prince Harry's body language is showing just how unhappy he is with his current life.
He said: "I have a lot of fun on YouTube clobbering poor old Prince Harry on a daily basis. I call him the world's least happy millionaire. I've been an arch critic, but I do have some sympathy for the guy." Mark clarified that he agrees with many viewers and listeners' views that Harry, 41, is a "hypocrite", and listed the various mistakes he believes the royal and his wife Meghan Markle, 44, have made over the past few years.
He remarked: "It was so churlish, that book, the Harry and Meghan documentary in which Meghan mocked Queen Elizabeth and of course, the outrageous allegations from the Oprah interview about racism to an unnamed member of the royal family, with a horrible finger being pointed at Princess Catherine, who in my view, hasn't got a racist bone in her body."
Putting this aside, Mark said if he looks at Harry's body language as a human being, it displays how he is truly feeling.
He observed: "We've got all of those provisos. He's still a human being. Just as a broad observer, he's not happy, is he? If I look at his body language, I don't think this is a happy man."
Charlotte responded: "I totally agree. Speaking of body language, Variety Magazine did this massive exposé of them this week, it was brutal. It said that every time he does make a bold move in a conversation, she grabs his arm and silences him.
"They disputed that and said it's a misogynistic trope. But I feel like he looks like he's not used to speaking up in a conversation or making his presence known. He's become introverted and as you say, his shoulders sag. He's lost the ability to have independent thought or speech."
Mark added: "She pets him when they go into a venue, she's guiding him."
He claimed that Variety doesn't normally produce "cutting-edge" journalism, which is why it was so brutal for them to go after the Sussexes.
"That would have stung Meghan. That would have hurt that the Hollywood bible takes her down," the presenter declared.
Catherine weighed in: "Once Ted, the boss of Netflix, slagged them off, then that's when Variety fell into line because he's the real power. Meghan's not powerful compared to the boss of Netflix, let's face it."
