Coronation Street and Emmerdale will not be broadcast at their regular time next Friday due to a scheduling reshuffle on ITV1.
Corrie typically airs weekdays at 8.30pm, but viewers will miss out on Friday's episode as it has been removed from the schedule due to sports coverage on ITV1.
ITV's coverage of England vs Uruguay commences at 7pm, in preparation for a 7.45pm kick-off time on Friday, March 27.
This means that Coronation Street and Emmerdale will not air during their usual time slots.
Audiences will be relieved to learn they won't be short-changed next week, as ITV have arranged an extra episode to air on Sunday instead.
Emmerdale will be shown at the earlier time of 7pm on Sunday, March 29, swiftly followed by Coronation Street at 7.30pm on ITV1, to compensate for Friday's absent episodes, reports the Liverpool Echo.
The schedule reshuffle occurs at a tense period in both soaps, but particularly for the residents of Weatherfield.
ITV recently unveiled a gripping new plot which will result in one character being left for dead.
A dramatic flashforward episode saw Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) stumble upon a dead body whilst heading into town after her mum, Lisa Swain's (Vicky Myers) wedding to Carla Connor (Alison King).
Coronation Street disclosed the potential victims are Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard), Jodie Ramsay (Olivia Frances Brown), Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McGlynn), Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) and Theo Silverton (James Cartwright).
Viewers have been making their own predictions on who could be killed, but all is yet to be revealed.
Coronation Street airs Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
