Big block deal in DLF...

DLF Block Deal Goldman Sachs: The Indian stock market saw a recovery on Friday. Major benchmark indices, the BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty 50, rose. However, the market had experienced a sharp decline the previous day on Thursday.

A major block deal in the market has caught investors' attention. Let's explore this topic...

Goldman Sachs makes a big purchase in DLF.

Global investment bank Goldman Sachs has made a significant investment in real estate company DLF through a block deal. In this transaction, Goldman Sachs purchased approximately 2.17 million shares, with a total value of approximately ₹115 crore (approximately $1.15 billion).

The deal was struck at a price of ₹531.7 per share. Following the news of the deal, the company's shares are expected to see some movement on Monday.

Entry of two big investors on the same day

DLF shares saw another significant purchase on the same day, clearly indicating continued interest from institutional investors. In a separate transaction, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund also purchased shares worth approximately Rs 115 crore.

In this way, a total purchase of about Rs 230 crore was made in a single day, in which both big investment houses and mutual funds participated.

Poor performance in a year

Looking at the trend over the past year, the company's shares have fallen by more than 22 percent. During this period, the Nifty Realty Index, the benchmark index for the real estate sector, has also declined by nearly 19 percent.

From which it is clear that the pressure was not limited to this stock only, but weakness was seen in the entire sector.

Company performance in the stock market

Shares of DLF Ltd. fell on the BSE on Friday, sliding 0.32 percent, or ₹1.75, to close at ₹540.70.

The company's 52-week high is ₹887.50, while its 52-week low is ₹525. Its market cap is ₹1,33,840.10 crore.
