News India Live, Digital Desk: The weather patterns are going to change rapidly once again in large parts of the country including North India. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fresh bulletin warning that in the next few hours, severe weather may be seen in about 20 states including Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the activity of Western Disturbance, there is a strong possibility of strong storm, heavy rain with thunder and lightning and hailstorm in many areas.
Weather patterns will change in Delhi-NCR The movement of clouds is continuing in the capital Delhi and its surrounding areas (Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad) since morning. Meteorologists say that today the sky will be cloudy throughout the day and by evening drizzle may start with high speed winds. Due to this change, a drop of 3 to 4 degrees can be recorded in the temperature, which will give relief to the people from the humid heat, but sudden rains can affect the life.
Orange alert issued in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar The Meteorological Department has also issued ‘Orange Alert’ in the plains of UP and Bihar. There is a possibility of hailstorm in the districts of Western Uttar Pradesh, which may cause damage to crops. People have been advised not to go out in the open, warning of lightning in the Terai areas of Bihar. Apart from this, there is a possibility of dust storm in the desert areas of Rajasthan.
Double attack of snowfall in the mountains and rain in the plains Fresh snowfall has started in the upper areas of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir. This movement happening in the mountains will have a direct impact on the plain states. There is a possibility of hailstorm at some places with moderate to heavy rain in Punjab and Haryana. According to IMD, this weather change is being caused by an active Western Disturbance, which will continue to affect northwest India for the next two to three days.
Farmers’ concerns increased, advisory issued This sudden change in the weather has drawn lines of worry on the foreheads of the farmers. The Agriculture Department has asked to be careful regarding the crops standing in the fields and the harvested produce. The Meteorological Department has advised to stay in safe places during strong winds and hailstorm and avoid taking shelter under trees. Due to falling mercury in the coming days, the feeling of slight coolness at night may return once again.
