Qatar Airways has secured the top position among full-service carriers in the 2026, according to global airline rankings by AirlineRatings.com, with Cathay Pacific and Singapore Airlines following in second and third place, respectively, based on onboard product and passenger experience.
The rankings, released by the airline safety and product rating website, classify carriers into three categories, full-service, hybrid and low-cost, and are based on measurable onboard criteria rather than public voting.
According to the report, the awards focus only on the passenger experience during flights. The assessment excludes popularity metrics and instead evaluates service standards offered onboard.
In the full-service category, airlines such as Korean Air, Japan Airlines, Emirates and Air New Zealand also feature among the top-ranked carriers.

As per the report, hybrid airlines are those offering a mix of low-cost and full-service features, depending on flight duration. These may include paid meals, beverages and free in-flight entertainment, along with premium cabin options on select routes.
Among hybrid carriers, Lufthansa, Delta Air Lines and British Airways are listed among leading airlines for 2026.
In the low-cost segment, HK Express secured the top position, followed by airlines such as Jetstar and AirAsia Group. These carriers typically operate with lower base fares and limited onboard amenities.
AirlineRatings.com said the rankings aim to provide a comparative assessment of airlines based on onboard offerings, giving travellers a clearer understanding of service standards across different airline categories.
