On the instructions of the Yogi government, grand religious and cultural programs will be organized in the Devi temples and Shaktipeeths of UP during Navratri from 25 to 27 March. Under Mission Shakti, participation of women will be increased and special attention will be given to the facilities of the devotees.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, grand programs will be organized in the Devi temples and Shaktipeeths of the state on Saptami, Ashtami and Navami (25, 26 and 27 March) of Chaitra Navratri. These events will include Devi Geet, Bhajan, Durga Saptashati Path, Shakti Aradhana and many spiritual and cultural programs. The Culture Department is busy in its preparations and the artists have also been selected.
Mission Shakti Campaign UP: Emphasis on participation of women and girls
“Mission Shakti” campaign is being run to promote safety, respect and self-reliance of women and girls in the state. Under this campaign, active participation of women and girls in these cultural programs will be ensured. This event will also become a medium to give a positive message to the society.
UP Devi Mandir List: Programs will be held in these Shaktipeeths and temples
The Culture Department has completed preparations for the event in the major Devi temples and Shaktipeeths of the state. These include Maa Vindhyavasini Devi (Vindhyachal, Mirzapur), Jwala Devi (Sonbhadra), Sita Samhit Sthal (Bhadohi), Alopi Devi (Prayagraj), Kadavasini (Kaushambi), Pateshwari Devi (Devipatan-Balrampur), Lalita Devi (Naimisharanya-Sitapur), Shakumbhari Devi (Saharanpur), Katyayani Devi (Mathura), Maa Sheetala Chowkia Dham. (Jaunpur), Belha Devi (Pratapgarh), Chandika Devi (Unnao), Vishalakshi Devi (Varanasi), Devkali Temple (Auraiya), Maa Tarkulha Devi (Gorakhpur), Sheetala Sthal (Mau), Lalita Devi (Prayagraj), Maa Shivani Devi (Chitrakoot), Gayatri Shaktipeeth (Hamirpur), Bairagarh Mata (Jalaun), Kushmanda Devi (Ghatampur, Kanpur Dehat), Sheetala Mata Temple. (Mainpuri), Chamunda Mata Temple and Behad Mata Temple (Firozabad), Chandrika Devi Temple and Sankata Devi Temple (Lucknow) among many other places.
UP Cultural Programs Coordination: Events will be organized with administration and public participation
The government has directed that participation of the general public should be ensured in these programs. Local administration, police and municipal bodies will together complete all the arrangements on time. Besides, folk artists, bhajan troupes and kirtan groups have also been selected, who will perform in these programmes.
Devotee Facilities UP Temples: Special attention to the convenience and safety of devotees
A large number of devotees are likely to visit all the major temples including Devipatan Temple (Balrampur), Shakambhari Devi Temple (Saharanpur) and Vindhyavasini Devi Dham (Mirzapur) during Navratri. In view of this, the administration has been instructed to make all necessary arrangements for the safety and convenience of the devotees.
Temple Cleanliness & Arrangements UP: Arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water and shade are necessary
The government has clarified that there should be adequate arrangements for cleanliness, drinking water, shade, security, sound and lighting at all the event venues. Arrangements for shade will be made to protect the devotees standing in the queue from the sun. If needed, additional cleaning personnel will also be deployed so that cleanliness is maintained in all the temples.
