Tezzbuzz Desk- Political activities are at their peak in Kerala before the assembly elections to be held on April 9. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has given a big statement on the influence of Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi. He said that Congress has not got any significant advantage where these leaders are working and their coming to Kerala will not benefit the party. Vijayan described some leaders as turning against the CPI(M) out of personal ambitions and termed them “class traitors” and appealed to party workers not to cooperate with them.
The CM also responded to the allegations of double standards and said that in every case the decision is taken on the basis of facts. He distinguished between the cases of PK Shyamala and PP Divya, stating that the two situations were not the same.
Vijayan also made a big claim about BJP. He said that BJP will not be able to win even a single seat in the upcoming assembly elections. He said that some people want to promote BJP, but the public is not with them.
Voting will be held on a total of 140 assembly seats in Kerala and the figure of 71 seats is required to form the government. The main contest in the elections is believed to be between the Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF), while the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is also in the fray. CPI(M) has announced to contest elections on 86 seats and CM Pinarayi Vijayan will contest from Dharmadam seat in Kannur district. Vijayan expressed confidence that this time also LDF will get a strong victory under his leadership.
