At the JSW Indian Open 2026 in Mumbai, Indian squash stars Abhay Singh and Anahat Singh claimed the men’s and women’s titles. Abhay defeated Veer Chotrani 3-0, while Anahat overcame Egypt’s Hana Moataz 3-1, retaining her crown. Both displayed dominant performances, highlighting India’s rising strength in international squash.

Mumbai: It was a night of celebration for Indian squash as local favourites Abhay Singh and Anahat Singh clinched the men’s and women’s titles respectively on the final day of the JSW Indian Open 2026 at the Cricket Club of India on Sunday.

The men’s final featured an all-Indian contest, with second seed Abhay defeating fourth seed Veer Chotrani 3-0 (11-9, 11-8, 11-4). In the women’s final, top seed Anahat outclassed Egypt’s Hana Moataz 3-1 (11-5, 11-6, 9-11, 11-6).

Abhay was in dominant form throughout the men’s final. Although Chotrani mounted a spirited challenge in the opening two games, the second seed raised his level as the match progressed.

The first game was closely fought, with both players contesting every point. Abhay edged the contest 11-9 to take the early lead.
