Navratri 6th day Worship: The sixth day of Chaitra Navratri is dedicated to Mother Katyayani, who is considered the goddess of courage and victory. This year Maa Katyayani will be worshiped on 24 March 2026. According to the scriptures, pleased with the difficult penance of Maharishi Katyayan, Mother Durga was born as a daughter in his house, hence her name was Katyayani. It is believed that the devotees who worship Mother Goddess with true devotion during Navratri, fear and obstacles are removed from their lives. Auspicious time of puja and aarti time

Morning time is the best time to worship Mother Katyayani on 24th March. Devotees can start their meditation with sunrise.

• Auspicious time in the morning: From 06:21 am to 08:30 am.
• Abhijeet Muhurat: From 12:03 PM to 12:52 PM (This time is best for special resolutions).
• Aarti Timings: It is very fruitful to perform Maa Aarti in the evening at the time of sunset, i.e. around 06:30 in the evening.

How to worship Mother Katyayani?

Mother Katyayani is very fond of yellow and red colors. Before starting the puja, take bath and if possible wear yellow clothes. First of all, meditate on Lord Kalash and Lord Ganesha, then light a ghee lamp in front of the idol of the Mother Goddess. It is considered very auspicious to offer yellow flowers, yellow bangles and lumps of turmeric to the Mother Goddess. On this day, definitely offer honey to the Mother Goddess, because it is her most favorite offering. During the puja, perform aarti with full devotion and express gratitude to God.
