A drain company with more than 35 years of industry experience has gone into liquidation. An official notice in the London Gazette, the UK's official public record publication, confirmed that the company was appointed joint liquidators on March 13, 2026. Environmental Drain Services Ltd has a registered office at Forest View, Mannington, Wimborne, Dorset, according to the notice. However, its principal trading address is listed as Unit 3A, Bessemer Close, Ebblake Industrial Estate, Verwood.

"Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Chapter 2 of Part 13 of the Companies Act 2006, the following resolutions were passed by the members on March 13, 2026 as a special resolution, and an ordinary resolution respectively: that the Company be wound up voluntarily, and the Joint Liquidators specified below be appointed Joint Liquidators of the Company for the purposes of the voluntary winding up," the notice reads.

Andreas Arakapiotis and Simon Wall of bk plus Limited were appointed as joint liquidators. The nature of the business, as specified on Companies House, is "sewerage" and "construction of other civil engineering projects not elsewhere classified".

The company was established in 1996 and on its website, which is still active, it says it has more than 35 years of experience in its team. It also says it is one of the leaders in the industry.

"We have installed sewage treatment systems and other types of wastewater solutions countrywide and have gained a much respected reputation. We offer a full package including design and installation for all wastewater requirements," its website reads.

Its services include drainage and wastewater solutions, rainwater harvesters, septic tank systems and pumping stations, among many others.

"We provide you with a first-class service from start to finish, with no job being too small or too big. So please call us today to speak to one of our specialist engineers who will endeavour to find the solution for your requirements," its website says.

A number of UK companies have become insolvent during the first three months of 2023. Liquidation occurs when a business cannot pay its debts, so liquidators step in to sell its assets and pay creditors.
