Despite the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season being a few days away , all eyes are still on Dhurandhar: The Revenge, a Bollywood blockbuster directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh. Despite the popularity of IPL, the movie, which hit theatres last week, has taken over the conversation across the nation. It is breaking box-office records, generating massive revenue. Even cricket icon Sunil Gavaskar is finding it hard to get tickets. He is facing challenges and has contacted actor Rakesh Bedi.
Bedi, who plays an important role in the two-part spy-action movie, posted a video on Instagram recounting his brief interaction with Gavaskar. The video, which also serves as a plea for fans not to spoil the film’s plot, mentions Gavaskar’s struggle to get tickets as the film’s popularity continues to soar, forcing the cricket legend to seek assistance.
In a recent video shared on his Instagram, Bedi mentioned, “Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting one of India’s sporting legends, Sunil Gavaskar ji. He told me, “Rakesh ji, I’m having trouble getting tickets. Can you please arrange them for me?”
“I’m doing my best to get some tickets for him and I really hope I can manage to do so,” he continued.
Featuring a stellar cast that includes Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Sanjay Dutt, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is on its way to becoming the highest-grossing Bollywood film ever, potentially surpassing its predecessor, Dhurandhar, which currently holds that record.
Recently, Gujarat Titans players in Ahmedabad watched Dhurandhar 2, and Mumbai Indians’ captain Hardik Pandya was also seen at a multiplex enjoying the film.
