The Indian messaging app Arattai, a competitor to WhatsApp, has now introduced a highly essential feature: Chat Backup. With this new update, users can securely save their chats and media files to the cloud. This feature is available on both Android and iPhone devices and offers significant relief to users, particularly when they acquire a new phone or reinstall the application. Much like WhatsApp, Arattai now provides a reliable backup facility, ensuring that your conversations remain secure at all times.
How Does the Chat Backup Feature Work?
This new feature from Arattai allows users to save their chat history to cloud storage. For Android users, backups are saved to Google Drive, while for iPhone users, they are stored in iCloud. A key highlight is that the company has implemented encryption for these backups, meaning your chats remain completely secure even while being stored online.
With the help of this feature, you can easily restore your past conversations on any new device. Additionally, you have the flexibility to decide whether your backup includes only text messages or if it should also encompass photos, videos, and documents. Keep in mind that the more data you choose to include, the larger the size of the backup file will be.
How to Enable Chat Backup?
If you wish to utilize this feature, the first step is to update the Arattai app to its latest version. Once updated, open the app, navigate to **Settings**, and select the **Chat Backup** option within the **Chats** section. Here, you will need to link your cloud account—either Google Drive or iCloud. Finally, you can initiate the backup process by clicking on 'Enable Backup' or 'Back up now'.
