Instagram Update: Rolls Out New Feature To Record Carousel Post—Follow These Simple Steps To Get Started

Meta own social media platform has rolled out a new feature which allows users to record the carousel post on Instagram after uploading it. Users who love posting multiple photos and videos in a carousel post on the social media platform was frustrated by not being able to record them after uploading but now with the launch of new feature the platform has resolved the issue of users

The new feature allows users to easily reorder images or videos in a carousel by simply long pressing and dragging themail to their desired position.

As per 9to5mac, here’s how to reorder a carousel:

Step 1: Tap on your profile, then tap on a carousel post;

Step 2: Tap the “…” menu in the top right corner;

Step 3: Tap “Edit”;

Step 4: Long-press a photo or video, then drag it left or right to reorder it.

Carousel reordering might not be accessible to all users at the momentbut this feature will be rolled out for every user gradually across regions.

The important point that users should keep in mind is that this is only a reordering feature. Adding new media to an existing carousel is still not possible.

In August 2024, the platform expanded the carousel limit to 20 images or videos from 10 pictures and videos, allowing users to share richer and more detailed storytelling for their friends and followers.
