The IPL 2026 season has not even started when the two oldest and champion teams of the league have been sold. After the league's first champion Rajasthan Royals, now the current champion Royal Challengers Bangalore has also got new owners. According to the information, RCB, the franchise with the biggest brand value of IPL, has been bought by a consortium of 4 famous companies at an astonishing price of $ 1.78 billion i.e. about Rs 16,700 crore. India's famous business group, Aditya Birla Group is the most prominent among the 4 companies that bought Bengaluru.
