Sonia Gandhi has been hospitalised in New Delhi, with her children Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi by her side at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Tuesday.

As per reports,  Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi due to a chest-related health concern. She is under medical supervision, and doctors say her condition is currently stable, adding that there is no immediate cause for concern.

Sonia Gandhi has a history of health-related issues and has undergone periodic medical evaluations both in India and abroad in recent years.

This comes months after a previous hospitalisation in January for respiratory issues linked to asthma and environmental factors.

In June 2025, Sonia Gandhi was admitted to the Sir Ganga Ram Hospital due to stomach-related issues, and was kept under observation at the hospital's gastro department. Prior to this, she was admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital in Shimla on June 7where she was brought in for a routine health check-up. The doctors, then, examined her health condition and stated that she was in stable condition.
