Netflix has confirmed the third season of hit rom-com series Nobody Wants This is currently in production.

Starring Adam Brody as rabbi Noah and Kristen Bell as agnostic podcast host Joanne, the series follows the pair as they embark on an unlikely romance.

The second season concluded with Joanne deciding to convert to Judaism while Noah realises he wants to be with her no matter what.

Season three is therefore likely to kick off with their relationship stronger than ever, though there will undoubtedly be more drama to come with Joanne's sister, Morgan (played by Justine Lupe) and Noah's brother, Sasha (Timothy Simons), and sister-in-law, Esther (Jackie Tohn).

Showrunners Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan told Netflix: "We are so grateful to Netflix and 20th for giving us another season of Nobody Wants This.

"This job is criminally fun. Working with the uniquely gifted Erin Foster [creator], this unbelievable cast of talented, hilarious pros, amazing writers, and incredible crew has been a truly great experience."

Foster told the streamer when the third season was initially confirmed: "I couldn't be more excited to head into a third season of this show.

"It is a privilege to be able to write about my favorite couple on a scale like this. As long as it doesn't take too much time away from me watching reality TV at night, I'll do it for as long as they want me to!"

The second season of Nobody Wants This proved to be an even bigger success than the first, reaching 18 millions views in its first 11 days and hitting Netflix's Top 10 chart in 82 countries.

Netflix and lead actress Bell sparked a frenzy amongst the fanbase with a series of behind-the-scenes snaps as filming gets underway in Los Angeles, California.

"Can't wait to see them be silly and cute on my screen again," replied one user under Bell's Instagram post.

Someone else exclaimed: "Hurry!!! We can't wait for season 3." Another said: "Best series in the world ever."

And a final fan gushed: "Finallyyyyyy!!! We have been waiting for this!!"

Season two introduced a number of exciting guest stars, including Seth Rogen, Kate Berlant, and Leighton Meester, so fans are anticipating more major names could join the fun in season three.

A release date for the third season has yet to be confirmed, but as the previous instalment started filming in March 2025 and was released later that same year, fans could expect the series to return in October or November 2026.
