The aim is to ensure they do not have to make repeated trips to the bank for small financial requirements. Overdraft Facility Now Available

Under the bank’s new service, eligible women can now avail of an overdraft of up to ₹5,000. This will prove to be immensely helpful for account holders who opened their accounts under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. They will now be able to receive direct financial assistance from the bank for their minor financial needs.

The most notable feature of this facility is that one no longer needs to stand in long bank queues to apply for an overdraft. Instead, funds can be transferred directly via UPI, or the money can be conveniently utilized for various transactions elsewhere.

Digital Facility Makes Borrowing Easier

This initiative could prove to be highly beneficial for women residing in villages, as they will no longer be required to make repeated visits to the bank to secure a loan.

Through this digital facility offered by Bank of Baroda, women can easily obtain loans. The bank directly integrates the loan amount into the UPI app, from where users can conveniently access and utilize the funds.
