A 9-year-old girl living in Nalasopara West was scratched by a dog with its claws a few days ago. But being a minor injury, not much attention was paid. But over time the girl’s condition deteriorated. She stopped eating, after stopping drinking water her condition became very alarming and she was rushed to a nearby hospital. She was then admitted to Kasturba Hospital for further treatment. But the girl died during treatment. A serious disease like rabies can be contracted if not treated in time after a dog bite or dog bite. Let’s know the symptoms after rabies and what care should be taken to prevent rabies.

What is the first thing to do after a dog bite?

After a dog bite or dog nail, the wound should be washed with soap and water within 15 minutes. Then apply antiseptic on the injured area. If you can’t get treatment, go to the nearest hospital immediately and consult a doctor. If not treated in time after a dog bite, physical health is likely to deteriorate. Also two injections of Anti-rabies vaccine and Immunoglobulin must be given by going to the government hospital. Do not miss a single dose of injection. Otherwise, the poison from the dog’s teeth can spread into the body and cause rabies.
