BBC presenter Gabby Logan admitted that she is still "brought to tears" by one thing despite working in TV for more than 30 years. The 52-year-old broadcaster has enjoyed a remarkable career in front of the camera. She became a household name while hosting coverage of top sports events, including the FIFA World Cup, Olympic Games, Great North Run and UEFA Euros.
Beyond her sports experience, the Match of the Day presenter, who recently announced the death of her father, Terry Yorath, is also a doting mum to her twins, Lois and Reuben, 20, whom she shares with her husband, Kenny. Now, the former gymnast has revealed what continues to inspire her after scooping the Sports Presenter, Commentator or Pundit award at the Royal Television Society Awards on Tuesday (March 24).
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, she told us what it is like to work on the juggernaut sporting show, Match of the Day. She confessed: "Telling the stories of some of the amazing sports people continues to inspire me.
"I've been doing this for 30 years, and I still get brought to tears by performances and hope that the audience at home is as touched as I feel about the people that we're talking about.
"I love it all, and what's happening in women's sport has been so inspiring. So, to see those women achieving in the Euros and the World Cup, and in Rugby, was just beautiful. We had a great summer."
But the presenter wasn't afraid to discuss some of the harder parts of the job that come with working in the public eye. She admitted: "I've been doing it for so long now that I just get to get on with my job, but I guess sometimes you have to be very aware of what you do.
"Working for the BBC is a very important institution, but I don't think I change myself behaviour massively. I just try and be as authentic as possible."
For the lavish red carpet event, the doting mum rocked a glamorous green Victoria Beckham dress which the fansionista rocked at Holly Ramsay's wedding to Adam Peaty in December.
Before taking her seat in the ballroom for dinner, the TV star showed her support for the former Spice Girls star as she gushed about Victoria's fashion line.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, she chuckled: "I do well with her [Victoria's] dresses fr some reason, and they always seem to work well for me. I probably should give her a call because I think I've got quite a few of them!"
