Gas Charge In Restaurant Bill: Due to tension in the Middle East, gas shortage has increased in India, which has also affected restaurants. In view of this, the Central Government (CCPA) has issued a strict advisory that no hotel or restaurant can add extra money like ‘LPG charge’ or ‘Gas surcharge’ to the food bill. The price given in the menu card should be final. If any restaurant goes against the rules and collects such charges from you, then you can complain against it. Ask the hotel manager to remove extra fees

Register complaint through e-Jagruti portal

You can lodge a formal complaint directly with the Consumer Commission through the e-Jagruti portal (e-daakhil). Apart from this, you can send your complaint in writing to the District Collector of your area or directly to CCPA. Take these steps when your problem is not being solved anywhere else.
