The film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is in the news these days for many reasons. Some people are just calling it a ‘propaganda film’, while many others are praising it. They say that this film has very well shown India’s courageous action against a terrorist organization hidden in Pakistan. Due to the use of violence and abuses in the film, the Censor Board i.e. Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) gave it an ‘A’ certificate.
‘A’ means that this film is only for people above 18 years of age. The board had directed the producers of the film to completely mute the abuses used in the film. But the producers only partially muted many of the abuses, meaning some part was audible and some part was not. Senior actor Deepak Tijori became very angry with this.
abuses Deepak Tijori question
‘Aashiqui’ fame Deepak Tijori raised questions on this issue on Instagram. He also put a heart emoji on the title poster of the film and wrote that he liked the film ‘Dhurandhar 2’ very much. Deepak Tijori openly criticized the Censor Board. Deepak Tijori wrote in his Instagram post, ‘Maybe I do not have as much intelligence as the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) or its members. That’s why I don’t understand at all why half of the abuses are muted and why the other half is left? Sometimes some abusive words are kept and the rest are completely muted, why so?’
Why mute abuses?
Deepak Tijori further asks that if the film has already got 18+ i.e. ‘A’ certificate then what was the need to mute the abuses? They also want to know whom the board is protecting from the half-muted abuses? They also find it strange that when ‘A’ rated films can be released on the OTT platform without any cuts, then why were the abuses partially muted in the same film released in theatres.
Actor’s taunt on censor board
Deepak Tijori, the famous actor of films like ‘Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na’ and ‘Aashiqui’, took a dig at this decision of the Censor Board and said that he cannot understand any logic behind this decision. This post of his is now becoming increasingly viral on social media. Many people are giving their opinion on this by commenting and supporting Deepak Tijori.
