In the Ghansoli area of Mumbai, a 10th-grade student broke down in tears in front of her teacher. When the teacher inquired about the reason for her distress, the student's response left her in shock. Here’s the full story.

The student revealed that since April, her mother and a neighbor had been coercing her into inappropriate activities. Hearing this, the teacher was taken aback and immediately informed the school administration, which escalated the matter to the police.

Coercion for Money
The girl explained that her mother and the neighbor frequently forced her to engage in these acts for financial gain. Despite her repeated refusals and attempts to resist, she was threatened into silence. The situation became so dire that she once fled to a friend's house, where she hid for three days, hoping her troubles would end. However, upon returning home out of necessity, the abuse resumed, with her mother and neighbor again sending her off for money.

Police Involvement
Upon hearing the student’s account, her teacher took her to a safe place and reported everything to the school authorities. The school acted swiftly, notifying the police. Once the case reached the Ghansoli police station, officials recognized its severity and promptly registered an FIR. Charges have been filed against both the mother and the neighbor under several serious sections, including those of the POCSO Act, given that the victim is a minor. The investigation is currently ongoing.
