The Maharashtra State Council of Examination has released the notification for the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) 2026. According to the notification, the registration process for the Maharashtra TET commenced on March 27 and will continue until April 16. To apply, candidates must visit the official Maharashtra TET website, mahatet.in, and fill out the online application form. Along with filling out the form, candidates are required to upload the necessary documents and pay the prescribed application fee.
The Maharashtra TET is conducted to assess the eligibility of candidates aspiring to teach children at the primary (Grades 1 to 5) and upper primary (Grades 6 to 8) levels in Maharashtra. As per the official notification, the Maharashtra TET 2026 examination will be held on June 21 across two sessions. The first paper will be conducted from 10:30 AM to 1:00 PM, and the second paper will take place from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. The link to download the hall ticket for the examination will become available on June 9, and candidates will be able to download their admit cards until June 21. Candidates must print their hall tickets and carry them to the examination center along with a valid photo identity proof; otherwise, they will not be granted entry to the examination.

What is the Maharashtra TET Exam Pattern?
This examination is conducted in the following languages: Marathi, English, Urdu, Bengali, Gujarati, Telugu, Sindhi, Kannada, and Hindi. Each question paper consists of 150 multiple-choice questions, and one mark is awarded for every correct answer. However, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates can estimate their probable scores in the examination by utilizing the answer key, response sheet, and marking scheme.
