While on one hand Pant is the most expensive captain, on the other hand Kolkata Knight Riders captain Ajinkya Rahane is the cheapest captain this season. He is getting a salary of only Rs 1.5 crore.

Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer is also at second place in this list. The team has included him for Rs 26.75 crore. Under his captaincy the team reached the finals last season, but missed out on winning the title. Apart from this, Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has been retained for Rs 18 crore, which shows how much trust the franchise has in him.

There is a big difference in the salaries of captains in IPL 2026. Axar Patel and Shubhman Gill are getting Rs 16.50 crore, while Hardik Pandya is playing at Rs 16.35 crore.
