Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor should avoid writing a memoir as it would be "very high-risk" for him, an expert has said. Over the last few months, Andrew has kept a low profile as scandals surrounding his previous friendship with Jeffrey Epstein continue to dominate the news.
While he has always denied any accusations and wrongdoing, stories have seen his entire life change, resulting in him losing his royal titles, his Royal Lodge home and his reputation. The Epstein files have also resulted in Andrew being arrested and released under investigation on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
Although Andrew has kept a low profile at his temporary Wood Farm home, it has been rumoured that he could one day consider penning a tell-all memoir to share his side of the story.
While this would generate good money for the former prince, a PR expert has said that it could also come with lots of risk.
Mayah Riaz told The Mirror: "In today's media landscape, a 'tell-all' is often seen as the fastest route to reframing the narrative and, in some cases, monetising notoriety. That said, I'd say that is a very high-risk strategy.
"For Andrew in particular, any attempt at a personal account would be met with intense scrutiny and scepticism.
"It would not be the step towards repairing reputation that he'd hope it would be."
Since his arrest on February 19, Andrew has been lying low in Sandringham and has only been spotted twice.
This included once when he was walking his dogs around the grounds of Wood Farm, and another occassion when he was spotted driving his car.
He has not released any statement since his arrest, but has always previously denied wrongdoing and accusations against him.
Appearing in the Epstein files does not indicate any wrongdoing.
