CRED, one of India's top fintech companies, has launched a revolutionary new feature. You no longer need to type your 4 or 6-digit PIN for UPI transactions. Just use your phone's fingerprint or Face Unlock to send money in seconds.

CRED developed this biometric system with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). It makes digital payments quicker and safer. You don't have to worry about someone peeking at your PIN in public. It also helps avoid failed transactions from typing the wrong PIN in a rush.

This new PIN-less payment option works for all of CRED's main services. You can use it for paying credit card bills, utility bills like electricity and water, scanning QR codes at shops, sending money to people, and even just checking your bank balance.For now, you can use this biometric method for transactions up to ₹5,000. The feature is designed to work on both Android and iOS phones. It uses your phone's built-in biometric sensors, which adds an extra layer of security.

The NPCI is backing several initiatives to make payments simpler under the Digital India mission. They have approved CRED's new feature as part of this push. With over 1.5 crore users, CRED has hit a major milestone in India's digital payment space.
