IPL 2026, MI vs KKR: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) made a great start against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the second match of IPL 2026. In this match at Wankhede Stadium, after losing the toss, KKR team came to bat first and destroyed Mumbai's bowling in the power play itself. KKR made a stormy partnership of 69 runs in just 32 balls for the first wicket. The pair of New Zealand's explosive opener Finn Allen and captain Ajinkya Rahane put a lot of pressure on the Mumbai bowlers. Both the players especially targeted Mumbai captain Hardik Pandya.
KKR made Hardik Pandya feel bad
Hardik Pandya bowled two overs in the powerplay and gave away a total of 29 runs. His second over proved to be very costly. In this over, KKR scored 26 runs, out of which one run was a leg bye. Finn Allen and Rahane hit 2 sixes and 3 fours on the remaining balls. Which proved to be the second most expensive over of Hardik Pandya in IPL history.
