Scott Mills has interviewed a whole host of the greats, from Taylor Swift to Mariah Carey. The now sacked BBC star, who was let go over the weekend following an allegation of his "personal conduct", has left listeners and fans blindsided after his sudden disappearance from air and subsequent axe.

But one aspiring DJ who met Scott - and even gave him a lift to the airport - claims he had a positive experience, summed up in just three words - "nicest guy ever". Ministry of Sound DJ Josh Le Tissier told the Bailiwick Express: "I have met DJs who are bigheaded, but I have found that the more famous they are, the nicer they are.

"I met Scott Mills once when he came to the island and he was the nicest guy ever, I even gave him a lift to the airport.

"I think it's important to be a nice person, because you never know who you'll meet along the way."

Social media users have also been sharing their experiences with Scott, as one Reddit user said: "I met him in a Southampton club once [and] I've always maintained that I didn't get a great impression of him, although I did enjoy his breakfast show."

On the Digital Spy forum, one fan said: "Scott Mills seems like a nice guy, met him in a club and he seemed very friendly."

Another echoed: "I met Scott Mills, [if I remember correctly] he was lovely. He came to do a DJ set at my uni a few years back. He was actually late (it had been terrible weather so I'm assuming he was delayed by that) and we were leaving.

"As we were leaving he was walking in the front entrance flanked by two people one of whom was holding an umbrella for him while he sipped some wine.

Anyway I was quite tipsy [...] We had quite a drunken conversation with him which he took very well, then as we were exchanging goodbyes this silly random girl grabbed his glass of wine out of his hand and downed it.

"He looked well p***ed off. I would be! I said apologies on her behalf as he walked off."
