Easter Sunday is just a few days away, which means many people will rush to their local Morrisons, Tesco, Sainsbury's, Aldi and Lidl before closing for the bank holiday to grab meat and vegetable essentials. Buying food and drinks for Easter Sunday can add up, especially for those who are hosting friends and family at their table.
With the cost-of-living crisis still making it tough on people's budgets and keeping grocery prices high, many will be looking for cheaper options this year. Luckily, some big UK supermarkets are running special deals, so shoppers won’t have to spend too much on vegetables.
Some of the most popular vegetables for Easter dinner include potatoes, carrots, parsnips, cabbage, and swede. Many stores are slashing the prices of these staples to a small fraction of what they usually cost, with some going as low as 4p at certain retailers. Morrisons is reducing prices across its British seasonal vegetable range; some items are dropping as low as 4p. Roast veg favourites from spring carrots to roasties are included in the offer running from Monday, March 30, to Sunday, April 5.

Tesco - 15p veg
From Tuesday, March 31, seven essential veg products will be just 15p, saving Clubcard members up to 89%, until April 6. Clubcard members can also enjoy an extra 25% off when they buy six or more bottles of wine until April 6.

Aldi - 4p vegAldi has announced a further reduction of its Easter Super Six offering in stores from March 31 to April 5. Aldi says shoppers will be able to 'pick up all of their Easter veg for less than 50p'.

Lidl - 8p veg
A similar 8p offer is available at Lidl stores nationwide for popular Easter veg. Starting from Tuesday March 31, to Monday, April 6. The store adds: "And this week's offers on meat and poultry, in store from Thursday 02/04 - Wednesday 08/04."

Sainsbury's - 15p vegSainsbury's is offering 15p veg for shoppers who have a Nectar membership (which is free to join), in stores and online. The price drop is live from Wednesday April 1, until Sunday, April 5.
