A chilling crime has sent shockwaves through the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh after a high-ranking naval officer was taken into custody for the brutal murder of his girlfriend. The incident, characterized by its extreme nature, involves allegations that the officer not only killed the woman but also dismembered her remains and concealed them within his own residence.

The suspect, identified as Chintada Ravindra, was an active officer stationed at the Indian Naval Ship (INS) Dega. Investigations reveal that Ravindra first met the victim, Polly Polly Monica, through a dating application in 2021. Despite being married, the officer maintained a long-term secret relationship with Monica, frequently meeting her at various locations across the city over the last few years.

The tragedy unfolded recently when Ravindra’s wife left town to visit her parents. Taking advantage of the empty house, the officer invited Monica over. However, the meeting quickly turned violent as a heated argument broke out between the two. During the confrontation, Ravindra allegedly strangled Monica to death.

In a sequence of events that suggests a cold and calculated attempt to cover his tracks, the accused reportedly ordered a knife through an online platform to dispose of the body. Authorities state that he cut the body into several pieces, hiding the torso inside his refrigerator while packing other remains into a trolley bag. He further attempted to destroy evidence by transporting her head and hands to a remote location to be burned.

The crime came to light when Ravindra eventually walked into a local police station and confessed to the killing. He claimed that the motive behind the murder was financial and personal pressure; he alleged that Monica had taken 350,000 rupees from him and was threatening to expose their illicit affair to his wife.

Law enforcement officials have expressed skepticism regarding his claims of a spontaneous fight, noting that the evidence points toward a premeditated act. While several body parts have been recovered from the officer’s home, a specialized police team has been deployed to locate the remaining missing organs. A formal case has been registered against the naval officer, who remains in custody as the investigation continues.
