Essential ingredients for veg biryani

  • Boiled rice – 2 cups
  • Mix Vegetable – 3 cups
  • Turmeric – 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  • Chopped onion – 1/4 cup
  • Chopped ginger – 1 tsp
  • Chopped garlic – 5-6 cloves
  • Green Coriander – 2-3 tbsp
  • Green chilli – 1-2
  • Cumin – 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Biryani Masala – 1 tsp
  • Oil – as per requirement
  • Salt – as per taste
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp

(The quantity can be increased or decreased as per requirement.)

Easy method of making veg biryani

boil rice

First of all, put rice in a deep vessel, boil it and keep it aside.

cut vegetables

While the rice is boiling, cut all the green vegetables into small pieces. Also prepare onion, garlic, ginger and green chilli.

prepare masala

Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and garlic to it and fry until golden.

cook vegetables

Now add remaining vegetables to it and fry well. After this add turmeric, coriander powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and biryani masala and fry well. Add salt as per taste.

do layering

Now spread a layer of rice in the pan, then add a layer of vegetables and again place a layer of rice on top of it.

cook on your own

Cover the pan and let it cook on medium flame for 5-7 minutes so that all the flavors get mixed well.

Garnish and serve

Finally garnish with green coriander. Your hot veg biryani is ready. You can serve it with raita.
