PBKS vs GT, IPL 2026: Gujarat Titans management is now being blamed after the loss against Punjab Kings. Was not playing Sai Kishore the right call or is he carrying an injury? The Titans lost their season opener at Mullanpur by three wickets. Did Ashish Nehra and Shubman Gill get it wrong tactically? Of course they did.

Sai Kishore INJURED?
How can you even think of not playing someone who emerged as the second-highest wicket-taker of the 2025 season. Now such a call is bound to be questioned now that they have lost. While Rashid Khan is the number one spinner in the Titans camp on reputation, the Afghanistani's show last season was nowhere close to Kishore, yet the latter was ignored. It is hard to believe that the Titans did not play him. Interesting to see if he is picked in the XI for their next game.
The Krishna Blunder
The pacer, who was the highest wicket-taker for the Titans last year, bowled his first in the 13th over of the match, was delaying his introduction the right call? By the time he came into bowl, all PBKS needed at that stage was 53 off 48 balls with wickets in hand. He then went on to pick the crucial wicket of Shreyas Iyer as well. The question is - why did you not go to your best bowler when you need wickets?
The Titans will play their next game against the Rajasthan Royals on April 4. They would love to win that game and get their campaign underway. But again, it will not be easy against the Royals, who would be brimming with confidence after the morale-boosting win over Chennai.
