Blinkit now delivers your orders at Mumbai airport
01 Apr 2026
Blinkit, a leading quick-commerce platform, has launched its services at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
The launch was announced by CEO Albinder Dhindsa on social media platform X. The service is available exclusively at Terminal 2 for domestic departures.
Through a partnership with Adani Airports, Blinkit now offers more than 2,500 products on its app. These include phone chargers, books, gifts, and more.
First-ever airport quick commerce service
Product range
The orders placed through the app will be delivered within the terminal by a dedicated team of walkers. This is the first time such a service has been launched at an airport anywhere in the world.
Blinkit's expansion plans and market position
Growth strategy
Blinkit is on an aggressive expansion spree, with plans to expand its dark store network to 3,000 micro-warehouses by March 2027.
As of December 31, the company had already established 2,027 stores.
According to BofA Research, Blinkit commands more than 50% market share in quick commerce, outpacing competitors such as Zepto and Swiggy's Instamart.
Blinkit surpasses Zomato in net order value
Figures
In February, Dhindsa took over as the Managing Director and CEO of Eternal, the parent company of Zomato and Blinkit.
This move has further strengthened Blinkit's position in the market.
The company's net order value now surpasses that of Eternal's food delivery business, making it a major player in the quick commerce sector.
