When the topic of sex arises, many tend to become silent. However, have you ever considered what happens when one refrains from sexual activity for an extended period? Recent research has unveiled some surprising insights into this issue. A study conducted by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) sheds light on the potential effects of prolonged sexual abstinence.
What Does Science Say?
The study gathered data from 17,744 participants, including 15.2% men and 26.7% women who had not engaged in sexual relations for a year. Additionally, 8.7% of men and 17.5% of women reported being sexually active for five years. The findings revealed startling correlations between happiness levels and physical activity.
