In 2018, the MeToo movement swept through Bollywood, leading numerous female stars to accuse male directors, actors, and crew members of sexual misconduct. Among those implicated was Aloknath, known for his portrayal of the 'sanskaari' father figure in films.

Aloknath faced serious allegations from several actresses and women he worked with, including filmmaker and writer Vinta Nanda.

Vinta took to Facebook to share a detailed post, accusing Aloknath of having raped her, which sent shockwaves through the film industry. Let's delve into the specifics of her allegations.

In her post, Vinta recounted an incident from when Aloknath was working on her serial 'Tara.' She mentioned being invited to a party at his home, where she noticed Aloknath's wife was absent, having gone out of town. Despite the presence of other friends, she felt uneasy after consuming drinks at the party, prompting her to leave around 2 AM.

Vinta stated, "No one offered to drop me home, so I started walking, hoping to find an auto or taxi. Aloknath then offered me a ride, and trusting him, I got into his car. I don't remember much due to the alcohol, but I recall someone forcing liquor into my mouth that night. The next day, I woke up in pain, realizing I had been raped in my own home. It was difficult to get out of bed due to the pain throughout my body."

She further claimed that Aloknath continued to assault her multiple times after that, and she remained silent due to financial constraints. She faced repercussions at work for opposing him.
