Residents of Delhi experienced a refreshing morning on Monday as the minimum temperatures across various parts of the city were recorded slightly below normal. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), several weather stations in Delhi reported a drop in mercury levels. The lowest minimum temperature was noted at Lodhi Road, where it reached 16.6 degrees Celsius, which is 2.4 degrees lower than the seasonal average. Other significant weather stations reported the following temperatures: Ayanagar at 16.7 degrees Celsius (2.2 degrees below normal), Safdarjung (base station) at 17.7 degrees Celsius, Ridge at 17.8 degrees Celsius, and Palam at 17.9 degrees Celsius.
Weather Forecast and Air Quality
As of 8:30 AM, no rainfall was recorded at these five stations over the past 24 hours, and the sky is expected to remain partially cloudy throughout the day. The maximum temperature is anticipated to reach around 31 degrees Celsius. Additionally, the Central Pollution Control Board reported that Delhi's air quality remained in the 'moderate' category, with an average Air Quality Index (AQI) of 123. According to the CPCB, an AQI between 0-50 is considered 'good', 51-100 is 'satisfactory', 101-200 is 'moderate', 201-300 is 'poor', 301-400 is 'very poor', and 401-500 is classified as 'severe'.
