In the IPL 2026, the match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) was scheduled for last night but was unfortunately canceled due to rain. KKR won the toss and opted to bat first, managing to score 25 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in just 3.4 overs before the rain interrupted play.

The rain prevented any further play, resulting in both teams being awarded one point each. KKR was on the verge of losing the match, which prompted Shreyas Iyer's sister to publicly mock the team owned by Shahrukh Khan.

With one match already canceled in IPL 2026, KKR has faced a similar fate in the previous season as well. Shreyas Iyer's sister, Shrestha Iyer, took to social media to poke fun at KKR regarding the single point they received.

In a video posted on Instagram, she humorously targeted KKR, stating that Punjabis have big hearts, hence they were given a point.

Following the cancellation of the 12th match, KKR now sits at the 8th position in the points table with just one point and a net run rate of -1.964 after two losses and one match being canceled. In contrast, Punjab Kings leads the table with five points and a net run rate of 0.637 after two wins and one match canceled.

KKR's performance was underwhelming, as they only managed to score 25 runs in 3.4 overs before losing two key players, Finn Allen and Cameron Green. The team needed a miracle to secure a win, but with the match called off, they settled for one point.
