According to The Korea Timeson Tuesday, staff members at Jisoo’s agency Blissoo shared on social media that they had received Dior bags from the singer.
“I love you, CEO,” one employee wrote on Instagram.
“Jisoo is the best,” another posted.
“Thank you, boss,” a third added.
Jisoo reportedly selected and personally distributed the gifts herself.
Born Kim Jisoo, the 31-year-old singer debuted with Blackpink in 2016 and launched her solo music career in early 2023.
Her gesture comes at a time when South Korea’s entertainment industry has been grappling with allegations of workplace mistreatment and abuse of power within management structures.
In October last year, The Chosun Daily conducted interviews with 29 industry workers, about half of whom said they had experienced power abuse or workplace harassment.
“I was kneeling to put shoes on an idol when they shouted, ‘Put them on quickly,’” a stylist with five years of experience said. “To put on high heels, they need to lift their legs, but if they just stay still, how can I do it?”
Another first-year artist manager described working with senior entertainers: “They treated me like a slave and cursed at me depending on their mood.”
