LPG Cylinder Prices Updated: Check Latest Rates in Major Cities

LPG consumers have received an important update regarding the latest cylinder prices. If you are planning to book a cooking gas cylinder, it is essential to check the revised rates in your city, as prices vary across locations.

As per the latest update, the price of a 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi is around ₹913. Smaller cylinders are also available, with a 5 kg cylinder priced at approximately ₹339 and a 10 kg composite (Extralite) cylinder costing about ₹652.5.

Commercial Cylinder Prices

For commercial users, prices remain significantly higher:

  • 19 kg commercial cylinder in Delhi: ₹2,078.5 to ₹2,307.5
  • 47.5 kg cylinder (used in hotels and industries): ₹5,192 to ₹5,248
  • 425 kg bulk cylinder: approximately ₹46,497 to ₹46,999

Prices differ slightly across major cities:

  • Lucknow: Domestic – ₹950.50 | Commercial – ₹2,201
  • Mumbai: Domestic – ₹912.50 | Commercial – ₹2,031
  • Kolkata: Domestic – ₹939 | Commercial – ₹2,208
  • Chennai: Domestic – ₹928.50 | Commercial – ₹2,246.50
  • Patna: Domestic – ₹1,011 | Commercial – ₹2,365 (highest among listed cities)

Other Cylinder Categories

  • 2 kg refill: around ₹254
  • New 2 kg cylinder: approximately ₹962
  • 5 kg non-domestic cylinder: around ₹549

Government Steps to Support Consumers

In response to supply challenges in recent times, the government has taken steps to ensure availability, particularly for migrant workers. The supply of 5 kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinders has been increased, with distribution being handled through state governments and civil supply departments.

The initiative aims to ensure that migrant workers have uninterrupted access to cooking fuel. According to official estimates, daily sales of 5 kg cylinders are expected to cross 1 lakh units, with nearly 6.6 lakh units already distributed since late March.
