Shubman Gill fined: Gujarat Titans registered a thrilling win by one run in the 14th match of IPL 2026 played on Wednesday evening at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. With this win, Shubman Gill led GT has opened its account in the points table. But, a heavy fine has been imposed on Captain Gill. Along with this, the threat of a one-match ban is also looming over him.

According to a statement issued by the IPL, Gujarat Titans (GT) captain Shubman Gill has been fined because his team’s over-rate was slow during the 14th match of the TATA Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Since this was his team’s first offense this season under Article 2.22 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which deals with offenses involving minimum over-rate, Gill was fined Rs 12 lakh.
Gill may be banned for one match
This is the first mistake of Gujarat Titans this season, hence only a fine has been imposed on the captain. If he repeats it for the second time, a fine of Rs 24 lakh will be imposed. On the third mistake, the captain can be suspended for one match.
