Barron Trump, the youngest offspring of Donald Trump, is venturing into the consumer market with a new beverage brand. At just 19 years old, the college student, along with his partners, has unveiled their inaugural product under the name Sollos Yerba Mate, set to launch next month. The company has announced that its first offering will be a ready-to-drink yerba mate infused with pineapple and coconut flavors, which they describe as 'the ideal summer refreshment.' Starting in May, the beverage will be available in packs of twelve. Promotional content shared on LinkedIn showcased the drink being packaged in a factory, alongside images of a surfboard carrying the product, embodying a coastal lifestyle theme.
The name Sollos is derived from the Spanish word for 'sun.' The company explained to a media outlet that this name symbolizes both sunrise and sunset, representing the complete cycle of a day. 'Together, SOLLOS captures the full cycle of the sun and that ‘It Begins Where It Ends,’' the brand stated.
Unique Approach to Beverage Branding
Sollos has adopted a distinctive strategy by concentrating on a single product rather than launching a variety of flavors. The founders emphasized their commitment to perfecting one recipe instead of introducing multiple options at the outset. 'In the foreseeable future, Sollos will only have one recipe,' the team stated. 'We didn't aim to create a flavor lineup; our goal was to craft the perfect drink.' They further explained, 'While most brands debut with several flavors, we dedicated all our time, energy, and resources to refining a single recipe until it was impeccable.'
The yerba mate drink is a caffeinated herbal tea that has become increasingly popular among younger demographics. The company intends to market the beverage as a lifestyle choice associated with outdoor living, particularly in warmer climates.
Barron Trump serves as one of the directors of the company, alongside partners Spencer Bernstein, Rodolfo Castello, Stephen Hall, and Valentino Gomez. Business records indicate that Sollos Yerba Mate was incorporated in Delaware in December and subsequently registered in Florida in January. According to regulatory filings, the company has successfully raised $1 million in capital through a private placement. The registered business address is situated in Palm Beach, near the Trump family's Mar-a-Lago estate. Public records associate this address with businessman Jay Weitzman, who clarified that he has no involvement in the venture, stating that the registration used his address because his grandson, Spencer Bernstein, resides with him.
The founders linked their concept to their upbringing, stating, 'Growing up in South Florida, our lifestyle was influenced by the chance to enjoy outdoor activities year-round.' This initiative represents Barron Trump's first significant entry into the consumer goods market. Previously, he had launched a real estate company in 2024, which ceased operations within months. He is also associated with a cryptocurrency venture named World Liberty Financial.
