Noida. The workers’ movement has become fierce in the two big industrial cities of NCR – Noida and Faridabad. Thousands of employees have taken to the streets demanding salary increase. In Noida, protesters set vehicles on fire, while in Faridabad also, employees stopped work in Sector 37 and started protesting after the companies.

Due to protests in different areas of Noida demanding salary hike, work in factories located in Sectors 59-60 and 62 has come to a complete halt. The protesting employees broke the glasspanes of many vehicles by pelting stones and set two bikes on fire. At the same time, the administration has deployed a large number of police forces including PAC and RAF in the affected areas to control the situation.
Now the police department has increased vigilance regarding the aggressive demonstration of employees of private companies in Noida. In this sequence, UP DGP Rajiv Krishna and ADG Law Amitabh Yash are present in the control room and are continuously monitoring the situation. DGP Rajiv Krishna’s statement has come on the violence in Noida. He said that the instigating elements are being identified. External elements are also being identified. Strict legal action will be taken. It was told that the police is investigating from every angle and no culprit will be spared.
High alert in Delhi regarding Noida protest
Delhi Police has declared high alert after the protest in Noida turned violent. On Monday, officials said that Delhi Police has been put on high alert after the protest by factory workers in the neighboring city of Noida turned violent, due to which security has been increased on the major entry routes into the national capital.

He said that a large number of employees of various industrial units gathered with their long pending demand of salary hike and raised slogans during the protest. However, the protest turned violent and incidents of arson, vandalism and stone pelting were reported from Phase-2 and Sector 60 areas of Noida. According to police sources, several teams have been deployed on all motorable roads connecting Noida to different parts of Delhi, especially at key border points with Uttar Pradesh, to prevent the spread of unrest.
