RR are ruling the roost in IPL 2026 with four wins and five games. At the moment, they are on top of the points table with 48 games left. Vaibhav Suryavanshi has played a big part in that success with two 50s in five innings. But even as we praise the 15-year-old and calls intensify to give him an India cap, Vaibhav at the end of the day is just a kid.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi Is Just a KidVaibhav gave us a funny reminder during the SRH vs RR game. RR assistant coach Trevor Penny was speaking to the experts on camera and Vaibhav started giving goofy expressions in the background. A light-hearted moment in an intense game.

Vaibhav can be seen in the video acting goofy in the background and it showed that he was just like any other 15-year-old who liked to goof around. He may be India’s future star, but he is still a young man who likes to have fun.
Take a look at his funny expressions:

The SRH game in particular was not good for Vaibhav as he made a golden duck and his team lost by 57 runs. But IPL 2026 has belonged to him so far. With 200 runs in five innings, he is in 3rd place on the list right now. He averages 40 and has a strike rate of 263.16. Not to mention two 50s and a personal best of 78.
When Shall Vaibhav Suryavanshi Play for India? There are talks that Vaibhav may make his debut for India in the T20Is vs Ireland in June. If he does, Vaibhav shall become the youngest Indian to play international cricket. It could be the start of a special journey as the boy wonder looks to graduate to a man as far as the game is concerned. On March 27, he turned 15 so he is now eligible to play for India. When and if it happens remains to be seen.
