There has been a stir after a case to the Nashik branch of the big IT company Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) came to light. It is alleged that this group used to target new employees, especially those who are financially weak or struggling with personal problems. Efforts were made to gradually influence such employees and change their thinking and lifestyle.

According to the information, the accused were part of the training team and had complete knowledge of the background of the new employees. It has also come to light that some of the accused made objectionable comments about Hindu Gods and Goddesses during the training sessions. When an employee was uncomfortable with this, an officer associated with the HR department would contact him and try to build trust. After this, pressure was put on the person concerned to change his lifestyle and dress.

What did the investigation reveal?

Investigations have also revealed that in some cases the employees became so influenced that they removed religious symbols from their homes and even had disputes with family members. The people arrested by the police include Shafi Shaikh, Asif Ansari, Shahrukh Qureshi and many other names. Apart from this, a WhatsApp group was also discovered where possible targets were discussed by the accused.

The allegations of sexual harassment in the case are also serious. Earlier this week, the SIT was formed based on the complaints of eight women employees. The complainants have accused their senior colleagues of mental and physical harassment. He also said that the HR department ignored his complaints.

The police are now also investigating the bank accounts of the accused to find out whether there were any financial transactions or external funding behind these activities. At present, a thorough investigation of the case is going on and more revelations are expected in the coming time.
