Mumbai. Amid positive signals from abroad, domestic stock markets witnessed a rise in early trade on Thursday and BSE Sensex opened with a gain of more than 500 points. Sensex opened 566.32 points higher at 78,677.56 points. At the time of writing, it was up 266.73 points at 78,377.97. The Nifty-50 index of the National Stock Exchange also opened with a gain of 153.90 points at 24,385.20 points. At the time of writing, it also stood at 24,310.75 points with a gain of 79.45 points.
Investors have taken risks in the stock market in hopes of resuming peace talks between America and Iran. Other Asian stock markets remained bullish for the second consecutive day today. Barring domestic markets, pharma and health groups, indices of all other sectors remained in the green. Buying is most visible in metal and IT sectors.
Indices of banking, finance, realty, media and consumer durables groups also remained on good track. Among Sensex companies, shares of Tata Steel, Infosys, L&T, Eternal, Tech Mahindra, TCS, Bajaj Finance and BEL are rising by one to two percent. At the same time, there is a decline in Sun Pharma, Titan, HUL and Reliance Industries.
