Introducing new vehicles
Ashok Leyland has officially launched the new Dost and Dost+ XL vehicles in its light commercial vehicle segment in the Indian market. These models are being offered in twin-fuel variants.
Key Features
According to the company, the ‘Dost’ model has a payload capacity of 1218 kg and offers a driving range of up to 400 km. To achieve this, it is fitted with a 120 liter capacity CNG tank; Also, a 5 liter capacity petrol tank has also been provided for emergency situations.

The twin fuel DOST+ XL has a payload capacity of 1410 kg. It gets a 148-litre CNG tank and a 5-litre petrol tank, giving the vehicle a range of around 500 km.

Viplav Shah, LCV Business Head, Ashok Leyland, said the DOST range has already won the trust of millions of small business owners. The twin fuel variant will give small traders and fleet operators more options and better performance. The vehicle runs on CNG at low cost and petrol enables long-distance travel, so fuel availability is not a concern. Also, lower emissions help the country’s sustainability goals by reducing the carbon footprint.
