Lucknow/Noida, 16 April. Shocking revelations have come to light regarding the violence and anarchy that spread during the recent labor movement in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Preliminary investigation has indicated that this was not just a case of labor dissatisfaction, but was part of a well-planned conspiracy in which outside elements played an active role. According to sources, out of 66 arrests made so far, 45 people have been found who are not genuine workers. Of the 17 people identified in the arson incidents, 11 have been arrested, of which 8 are non-workers.
At the same time, 19 out of 32 identified on charges of instigation have been detained. Apart from this, 34 people have also been arrested who, despite not being workers, were trying to spoil the atmosphere by participating in the protest. According to the investigating agencies, four people have also been arrested on charges of conspiracy, who are suspected to be associated with some organized network. The role of some suspicious social media handles and people from outside states in the case is also under investigation.
Sources claim that a large-scale plan was made to affect the industrial structure of Noida. Many of the people involved in the incidents of arson, stone pelting and incitement during the violence were not local workers but were elements from outside, whose aim was to destabilize the industrial environment. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the administration immediately took strict steps on the instructions of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
The situation was brought under control within a few hours due to the prompt action of the police and administration. Along with this, after the announcement of wage increase in the interest of workers, coordination was established between the workers and the industry management, due to which industrial activities rapidly became normal. At present, work is going on normally in most of the industrial areas of Noida.
The government has made it clear that any element playing with law and order will not be spared and strict action will continue under the ‘zero tolerance’ policy. After this development, the state government has also reiterated that on the one hand it is sensitive towards the interests of the workers, while on the other hand it is fully committed to thwart any attempt to spoil the industrial environment.
