M66 traffic LIVE: Road closed in both directions due to 'police incident' near Manchester

A busy Manchester motorway has been shut in both directions ahead of the morning rush hour on Friday, April 17.
The M66 is closed in both directions between junction 3 (Pilsworth) and junction 2 (Bury) due to a policeled incident.
The police were notified of the incident at 3.23am this morning and have shut the road in both directions.
According to National Highways there is no confirmed reopening time.
Drivers have been advised to find alternative routes.
