It is often said that fate plays a role in matchmaking. A recent incident from a village in the Tarikere taluk of Chickmagalur district exemplifies this perfectly. A man who attended a wedding as a guest ended up leaving with the bride as his wife. The twist? The original groom fled the ceremony, prompting this guest to step in and marry the bride instead. Let's delve deeper into this cinematic wedding tale.
On a Sunday, two brothers, Ashok and Naveen, were set to marry at the same venue, with Naveen's bride being a woman named Sindhu. The day before the wedding, both brothers even posed for pictures together, receiving blessings from relatives. However, on the wedding day, Naveen mysteriously disappeared. Upon investigation, it was revealed that he had run away at the behest of his girlfriend.
Naveen's girlfriend had threatened him, claiming she would take drastic measures if he went through with the wedding. Fearing for her safety, Naveen chose to flee before the ceremony, arranging to meet his girlfriend in Tumakuru. After this, he was unreachable. Meanwhile, Sindhu and her family were left anxious and distressed on the wedding day due to the absence of the groom.
While Ashok took the vows at the altar, Sindhu was left in tears, feeling like an unwed bride. In a bid to resolve the situation, her family decided to find a groom among the wedding guests. Chandappa, who was present as a guest and works as a BMTC conductor, volunteered to marry Sindhu. After discussions between both families, the plan was set in motion.
Chandappa and Sindhu exchanged vows, officially becoming husband and wife. As news of this unusual wedding spread on social media, many praised Chandappa for his swift decision, which transformed the bride's and her family's sorrow into joy. Both Chandappa and Sindhu are now happily united.
